Background
Barry Bosworth is a Senior Fellow in Economic Studies at The Brookings Institution. His areas of expertise include capital formation, fiscal policy, inflation, Social Security, international economics and monetary issues. Dr. Bosworth has published extensively on these topics and has authored or edited numerous books. Dr. Bosworth has been with The Brookings Institution since 1971, except for the period of 1977-79 when he served as the Director of the Council on Wage and Price Stability. He has also taught at Harvard University and the University of California at Berkeley and has served as a staff economist for the Council of Economic Advisors.
Dr. Bosworth received his B.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
