Background
R. Kent Weaver is Professor of Public Policy and Government at Georgetown University and a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at The Brookings Institution. His areas of expertise include entitlement programs, social policy, and comparative public policy. Dr. Weaver has published extensively on these topics and has authored or edited several books. Before joining The Brookings Institution in 1983, Dr. Weaver taught at Ohio State University.
Dr. Weaver earned his B.A. from Haverford College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University.
