The Public Plans Database is developed and maintained through a collaboration of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, the Center for State and Local Government Excellence, and the National Association of State Retirement Administrators.
The new Public Plans Database has:
- plan-level data for over 150 state and local pension plans;
- over 100 variables; and
- annual data since 2001.
It allows users to:
- browse “quick-fact” pages containing key statistics on individual plans and in the aggregate;
- search data in real-time and produce customized tables by selecting specific variables; and
- download the raw data to conduct in-depth analysis.
