This Act provides emergency funding, primarily for health-related activities, including:

  • research, development, and review of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics related to the COVID-19 virus;
  • state and local government response efforts;
  • expansion of telehealth services through Medicare;
  • consular operations and emergency evacuations at U.S. embassies; and
  • health and humanitarian assistance overseas
