Joanna N. Lahey is an associate professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M. Dr. Lahey is an expert on age discrimination and the relationship between age and labor market outcomes. Her work also covers the effects of fertility control access. She is the recipient of the 2006 W. E. Upjohn Dissertation award for best dissertation on an employment-related issue and is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Dr. Lahey’s work has appeared on American Public Radio’s Marketplace and in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and other media outlets.
She earned her Ph.D. in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
